Dragon Age: Origins | Darkspawn Chronicles

Dragon Age: Origins | Darkspawn Chronicles

by Shals on May 21st, 2010

Just got an email announcing this, been awhile since I played the game. Was good from what I remember, but didn’t have the time to play it much and it got shelved. Maybe I’ll check it out again in the near future. Anyway, apparently they have an expansion for it and it sounds kind of interesting. Here’s the short description from their website:

You now fight as the Darkspawn! The city of Denerim, jewel of Ferelden, girds itself for war. As a hurlock vanguard, you alone hold the power to make thralls of your fellow darkspawn and drive them into the heat of battle. Heed the archdemon’s call Denerim must burn!

And here are some screenshots from their website:

I still break this one out from time to time. It’s nice to play a game that is still a real RPG. Mass Effect 2 was a blast, but I don’t really have the desire to play through it twice like I do with Dragon Age. I think it’s the shift to being more of an action games that kills the replayability for me.

I really wish I could have played through it (including ME2), but my right shoulder is in such bad shape these days I can hardly stand sitting at my PC for more than 15 minutes and I think it’s a fairly good ergonomically setup.

Getting a massage a week from Tuesday, so hopefully that helps a bit. Afraid it will not though since the pain goes from my shoulder to my elbow to my wrist. Probably some form of carpal tunnel syndrome.

Sounds more like a pinched or damaged nerve. You should go do a doctor :?

I wouldn’t mind doing a good looking doctor (female of course), but I don’t think it’s pinched… damaged maybe. I’ve had this problem for many years. The last 2 or 3 weeks it’s really been giving me hell though and I think it’s because I was playing PS3 for a couple hours every day. So been trying to give it some rest.

maybe ya should get some relaxing games for a bit? No need to get so intense bud. turning the controller like a steering wheel won’t make the car go left any harder ya know :D

I really don’t play PS3 intensely hehe, just all the button pressing working the tendon(s). And I couldn’t hold out any longer after reading your posts about Read Dead and picked it up today so guess my "resting" will not last much longer.

    RDR is pretty awesome.
